Staines Reservoir: 07.20-08.45 19 Smew on both basins (7 Drake, 12 female), 3 Black-necked Grebe
(S.Basin), 2 Dunlin, 2 Redshank, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Ringed Plover
(all S.Basin), 1 juv.Shag (N.Basin, raft), 3 Little Grebe (N.Basin). Grays Riverside, RM17: Sanderling at 10.30, then flew across
river, c50 Dunlin in various groups, 4 turnstone, 4 ringed plover, 5
grey plover, lapwing, redshank, 2 oystercatcher, 3 curlew, 2 great
crested grebe, 25 teal.
