Found my 1st spring record of SANDWICH TERN which was trying to land on the tern raft on lockwood but gangs of common terns were stopping him.In the end he just flew off high north.The yearlist is now on 123.

Also adult Dark-bellied Brent Goose in Barking Bay early morning, then drifting east off incinerator outfall 9.30am. Grey Plover in Barking Bay 10.15am. Brent Res: Little Tern briefly at 08.15 then flew East.

I had been at the patch just ten minutes when i got a text from lol saying that a MELODIOUS WARBLER was at oliver road leyton.I went straight out of the patch onto a bus and twenty minutes later i was on the bird.(LONDON LIFE 264).
