WALTHAMSTOW FEEDBACK

Common Tern - adult
Common Tern - adult (Photo credit: Len Blumin)
Hi Kevin – thanks for your enquiry on 13th May, and my apologies for taking so long to get back to you, it’s hectic here at the best of times.

Where did you see the fishing line and dead, entangled tern? We have strict policies regarding fishing litter on our reserves – and will endeavour to prevent such littering, and educate those who cause this problem.

If you come across entangled birds again (and I hope you don’t) photographs can be very useful – both as an educational tool and as a prompt to stronger action for land owners.

With best wishes, Ian Tokelove
