🌟 Today i had my first winter Thrushs which was a few Redwings and 20+ Fieldfares and also a increase of Goldcrests and four late Swallows flying through the patch.🌟

Yellow-bellied Flycatcher which is a 1st for the Western Palearctic.Scotland hits the big time.

Not much happened today but i did have a fresh wader which was a Green Sandpiper that was feeding with four Common Sandpiper.

✯ I found my second GREAT WHITE EGRET for the year at the patch today.And also i took a new photograph which is two Egyptian geese.✯

★I had a fresh wader in today which was a Black-tailed Godwit.And i also took some pictures of the Shelduck station and a Peregrine Falcon and a Common Sandpiper waiting for the tide to go out.★

🌟 I had a good time today when i found a Spoonbill at Gallions. Which is a good patch tick.And it's the second spoonbill i have found for London.Unfortunately the quantity of the photographs is not very good.But at least i have a record shot of the bird.🌟

⭐ I had a steady flow of Meadow Pipits over the patch today.Also i had a increase of Teal and plus two local Common Buzzards that performed really well.⚝

⭐ Today i found a fairly late Cuckoo and also had some House Martins and a single Swallow.The Common Sandpiper count was ten and still two Shelduck.🌟

⭐ This is a test picture that i took to see if the picture improvement worked by having the camera on my tripod.And i think that it as worked.So now my photographs are going to be better.Power to the quick release base.⭐

⭐Today David Campbell (aka Devilbirder) come to my patch to give me a quick release base for my camera.So i tested the base and it worked really well.So now the camera can go on my tripod and hopefully my pictures will improve.And i would like to thank him for finding the Caspian Gull which is a patch tick for me.☆

Today i started my September Birdwatch at the patch and did not see much but i did have a calling kingfisher searching for fish.September is the best month for birding in London so i am hoping for something new.

I have started early with my autumn patch watch which i normally start with in august.It was very quiet today apart from six Little Egrets & two Common Sandpipers and a local Common Buzzard.

London Nightingale male singing Crystal Palace at Crystal Palace Park by Penge gate at 8.30am. City of London St Dunstan in the west a singing BLACK REDSTART.

📰 Not much bird news is going to come from me until i return to the patch in august.

Honey Buzzard Record

Here's my claim to fame which is i found Britain's earliest record of honey buzzard.And the mega date was the 12th of April in 2001.Here's a photograph of a honey buzzard given to me by Devilbirder.(THANKS DAVID).The record was accepted because i filmed it as it passed through Beddington farm going north-west and the bird was seen four days later in wales.Camcorder's are a great bit of kit.

My Mate Robin

Here's my mate robin he likes me because i always feed him.Also today i had a (Great White Egret) which flew over the patch and headed off north.And i also had the regular little ringed plover and a fly-over Yellow Wagtail which was calling.

A good little day with a personal patch record which was seven whimbrel which were seen flying upriver.These birds was also seen at the Thames barrier but the count was ten.
