Basin), 2 Little Gull (S. Basin), 2 Hobby.

PATCHBIRDING
It as taken me until the 21st to find something of note 2 BLACK TERNS juv's dancing around lockwood res today.
Here's one of the black terns, sorry about the crappy picture but it was taken with my phone i watched this bird for about 15 minutes preening on the break water.

King George V Reservoir: Wood Sandpiper North basin frequenting the cusway and east bank between 0800 and 1100hrs at least. Also 1 Greenshank, 3 Dunlin, 20+Common Sandpiper.Wanstead Flats: f Common Redstart (possibly Monday's bird still), f/juv Northern Wheatear, Redshank (heard calling flying south over Alex towards Manor Park - Mega! first record (unbelievably) for the patch!).

Today I had a real taste of return migration with 8 GREENSHANK low over lockwood + that great call they make.If the water level was not so high they would have landed.
