Today i finally got to grips with the overwintering (WHITETHROAT).Showed very well just up from the dusky warbler site.Also today had 3 more (GOOSANDERS) one being a male.On lockwood was 5 goldeneye,4 shelduck and 3 green sandpipers on lockwood channel.

  It was a bit better today at the patch.Getting a fly over goosander (f), 4 goldeneye,green sandpiper.

I never seen a overwintering whitethroat before so i must try and see this bird which is at the patch.(SEEN AGAIN TODAY).

Went to the deepest wilds of surrey today to look for the GREY PARTRIDGES that david my mate told me about but did not see them.But i did manage to see 2 red-legged partridges.After this poor show we went onto canons farm for the BARN OWL but no sign of it.(A day to forget).

Still very poor at the patch today just a GREEN SANDPIPER, and 3f goldeneye.LONDON NEWS:Canons Farm Brambling at Ruffett Wood/Green Belt Field with Chaffinches c12.45pm.Yesterday 2w Iceland Gull Island Barn Res at 14:50, 1w Little Gull Hilfield Pk Res still, 2 Bitterns Amwell.1w Kumlien's Gull Beddington SF on Main Lake this am. 2 ad Kittiwakes flew upriver at Rainham, then 1w flew downriver at 10:30.
