Dont you just love raptors i do.So today was great getting 5 different birds of prey.(M) MERLIN mobbing a kestrel,Common Buzzard,Peregrine,Sparrowhawk (Displaying).Not just happy with above i also got a patch tick (M) STONECHAT,Black-n grebe,(M) Goosander,and 4 Green Sandpipers.On the raptor front i did see a escaped LANNER/SAKER Falcon with both feet jessied.A bird i need is red kite but no sign of one today.(Walthamstow Life 120).

Staines Reservoir: 4 Black-necked Grebe (S.Basin), 4 Smew (2 male, 2 female) (N.Basin), 1 juv. Shag (N.Basin), 9 Goldeneye (S.Basin), 3 Little Grebe (N.Basin). 06.50-08.15am. In the evening a 2CY Mediterranean Gull on the N basin.
 Brent Reservoir: pair of Shelduck in east marsh, also Bittern again.

Staines Reservoir: 11 Black-necked Grebe (1 North Basin, 10 South Basin), 2 female Smew (N.Basin), 1 juv. Shag (N.Basin), 15 Goldeneye (S.Basin), 1 Egyptian Goose (N.Basin, tern raft).

Walthamstow Res. 12.45 2 probable Common Terns high and calling going towards Lockwood etc, no bins so did anyone else see them?.(DB).I was on site early in the morning but could not see anything because of the dense FOG.(KJM).
