At last birds are on the move at Gallions reach with a nice ADULT KITTIWAKE going upriver and my first Common Tern of the year.

Today london got 2 migrants a Sand Martin at Rainham and a Wheatear at KG6 Reservoir. As for me just a single Curlew.

Today no migrants and just a few of the usual suspects:2 Oystercatchers,6 Redshank,8 Linnet.

Today went out birding for a couple hours at Gallions Reach and had 50+ Black-Tailed godwits and a single Curlew and also lots of Redshanks.

Regents Park: At last i got to grips with YELLOW BROWED WARBLER for london putting me on 273.

 Gallions Reach:Richards Pipit flushed from long grass near to radar tower 12.45. Circled landed again and then flew across to Armada Point into grassland. This area is fenced off next to the DLR depot, with no public access. The bird was not relocated.

Today was my first good day at gallions reach with 4 GREAT SKUA & ARCTIC SKUA plus i also had nine Little Gulls and two common scoter 30+ redshank 15 lapwing and little egret.

Middlesex Filter Beds: Nightjar roosting on branch of elderberry tree,and still there when I left. Good bino views. From the pond walk towards the Hackney Marshes exit past a black bench. After another ~20-30 yards there is a large elder tree to the left. Look for the broken horizontal branch to the right about 12 ft above the ground and the bird is on that.

Wanstead Flats: Probable Olive-backed Pipit low west from Coronation Copse towards Long Wood, called twice and distinctly from Tree Pipit, at 09:10.

One of the reasons i went to gallions reach was to try to get some target species that i needed for london and today i did that with a GUILLEMOT which was drifting upriver.

This bird putting me on 272 for london.
