Arctic Terns (Sterna paradisaea), Lerwick Tern chicks are fed by the adults for several weeks after they leave the nest and begin migration. These two chicks were perched on a fence on the Victoria pier in Lerwick, waiting for the parents to bring fish to them. On this date they may have come from almost anywhere; there is no guarantee that they were Shetland-bred. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
