Queen Mother Reservoir: BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT - early am then flew towards NW bank. £2 permit access, 8am-4pm Sunday and Monday.Hayes: In my garden @09:00-09:10, 12 species inc. Brambling.Ten Acre Wood area; 2 Pheasant (1 all white bird), covey 5 Red-legged Partridge, Buzzard, f Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 40 Lapwing, Barn Owl mobbed by 6 Jackdaws 8.45 uttering screech, then hovering on its own before landing in tree, 10ish Short-eared Owl flushed from ground few feet from me.Staines Reservoir: 2 Scaup on north basin, 1 red head Smew on south basin.
Rainham Marshes: Snow Goose of unknown origin & White-fronted Goose with Greylags. Merlin (f), 3 Yellow-legged Gull (2ad 1 2w), 2 Cetti's Warbler, 11 Pintail.Staines Moor: 4 Short-eared Owl, 2+ Water Pipit.
