Still present at 13:00. 2012 LONDON & WALTHAMSTOW

2012 was a good year for my london birding.Here's the birds.DOTTEREL 15 of them GANNET,BONAPARTE'S GULL,MELODIOUS WARBLER,BAILLION'S CRAKE,BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT and also i found some good patch birds the best of the lot was a 1st for walthamstow 2 TWITE next best was a PECTORAL SANDPIPER which was only the 2nd record.Other birds of note FULMAR,ICELAND GULL,KITTIWAKE,MERLIN,Turnstone,Black Terns,Sandwich Terns,Little Gulls, WOOD SANDPIPER,KNOT,OSPREY And another thing i did enjoy was seeing was over 25+ Red Kites at the patch.

Queen Mother Reservoir: BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT 11.30, Long-tailed Duck  Berks Birds website  Crayford Marshes: Waxwing flew over south-west calling,landed briefly then continued on it's way; 160 Black-tailed Godwit, 25 Golden Plover, 2 Yellow-legged Gull (1st winter & 2nd winter), 3 Curlew, 2 Green Sandpiper. Queen Elizabeth II Res: 52 Barnacle Geese came in high from the SE and landed on Apps Court GP mid-morning (TQ165625).

Brambling.Ten Acre Wood area; 2 Pheasant (1 all white bird), covey 5 Red-legged Partridge, Buzzard, f Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 40 Lapwing, Barn Owl mobbed by 6 Jackdaws 8.45 uttering screech, then hovering on its own before landing in tree, 10ish Short-eared Owl flushed from ground few feet from me.Staines Reservoir: 2 Scaup on north basin, 1 red head Smew on south basin.
Rainham Marshes: Snow Goose of unknown origin & White-fronted Goose with Greylags. Merlin (f), 3 Yellow-legged Gull (2ad 1 2w), 2 Cetti's Warbler, 11 Pintail.Staines Moor: 4 Short-eared Owl, 2+ Water Pipit.
